Claire Sheek has over 20 years of experience in various styles of dance, specializing in tap. She began teaching at age 16 and has continued her journey as a performer, dance educator and choreographer ever since. Along the way she has been mentored by Acia Gray, Barbara Duffy and Professor Robert L Reed among others and holds two Tap Teacher Training Certificates from the American Tap Dance Foundation in New York. Her choreography has been recognized and awarded at a regional and national level. Growing up Claire performed as a member of the late Prof. Robert L. Reed’s St. Louis Hoofers Club and she has continued on to dance for 7Dancers (Denver, CO), as a guest performer with Anthony LoCasio’s #TapLife Company (New York, NY) as well as for her Denver based company, Rocky Mountain Rhythm. Currently Claire is heading into her second season as a Principal Dancer with Tapestry Dance Company in Austin, Texas.
